Anderson and Broad are Not in The England Test Squad for West Indies Tour
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced their 16-man squad test team for the upcoming test series against West Indies (WI). England cricket team is going to play 3 test matches against West Indies from 8 March to 29 March.
Surprisingly, the two attacking bowlers ‘Jimmy Anderson’ and ‘Stuart Broad’ are not included in the English men test squad.
ECB has dropped Anderson and Broad with six other players who played the recent Ashes series. Due to an extremely bad performance of the England cricket team against Australia in the recent ashes, Andrew Strauss dropped (current director of ECB cricket) eight players from the Ashes squad.

Dropping both the pacers is very surprising not only for the fans but also for the former English players. Anderson and Broad shared 321 caps playing for the England cricket team, and both took 1,177 wickets as a unit.
These stats are not ordinary. Both the fast bowlers have won a lot of matches for their team, and on their day, they can turn the tables for their team at any cricket ground in the world.

Another big news is that four players, named Matt Fisher (bowler), Alex Lees (Opening batsman), Saqib Mahmood (fast bowler), and Matt Parkinson (leg-break bowler) will play their debut test match against West Indies in the upcoming tour.
On the flip side, it is a good chance for the new players to showcase their talent in order to secure a permanent position in the cricket team.
‘Strauss’ said that dropping the most experienced English bowlers doesn’t mean that they cannot play for England in the future. I want to give a chance to the young blood to showcase their talent as they are the future of English cricket.
The purpose of dropping Anderson and Broad from the series is to give them a little rest so that they can stay mentally strong and focus more on their abilities. Both the bowlers are the assets of the English team and they will soon make a great comeback.
