Christine McGuinness is Open to Dating Again
After announcing her separation from her husband Paddy McGuinness many months ago, Christine McGuinness has now provided a more recent update on her life as a single woman. After 11 years of marriage, the pair confirmed in July that they were no longer together, putting an end to months of speculation about their marital status.
At the time, Top Gear broadcaster Paddy and former Real Housewives of Cheshire actress wrote similar posts on Instagram in which they discussed the “tough choice” they had to make. They disclosed that they had ended their marriage “quite some time ago,” but that they “still live peacefully in our family home together” while taking care of their three children.
However, in a recent interview, Christine said that despite the fact that she is “open” to the possibility of dating again, she is not in a “huge hurry” to find love again. She expressed her willingness to date by saying, “I’m open to it [this year].” But I’ve got time. We’ll have to wait and see what develops.
It’s not really something that I keep in the back of my mind or anything like that. How do you go about dating when you’re in your 30s? Where do you go? Where do you even begin? I’ve been with Patrick for 15 years, I’m definitely not in a great hurry to get into anything.”
In her New Year’s message, in which she said that she was “ready for 202FREE,” she renamed the year 2023. The Sun inquired about her statement. Asked whether she meant she felt ‘liberated’, the 34-year-old laughed: “Well, I suppose when you’re a parent, you’re never fully free! But yes, it does seem rather liberating; I’m in a whole different period in my life, a new chapter.”
We are co-parenting more, which means that even though Patrick and I are no longer together, I am still able to spend time with our children while they are with their father. This is despite the fact that it is inappropriate for us to discuss the reasons for our divorce.
“I am blown away by it. It blows my mind that he is able to spend time with kids, that I am able to spend time with them on my own, and that we are able to spend time with one other. When I have spare time, I focus on increasing the amount of work I do, even though I usually end up doing nothing more than being at home. I don’t have any fear. I do not feel depressed or nervous, and I can hardly wait!”
Christine said that despite the fact that she is looking forward to moving on with her life, there is one item she will keep from her marriage. She responded to the magazine with, “Yes, I am going to keep the McGuinness name.” “It’s something that I’ve always stated, even when we were kidding about it in the past when we were talking about it. I would want to continue using the same name as my children, but in the future, I will refer to myself as “Miss.”
The latest interview with Christine comes after the mother of three issued an apology to her audience for her prolonged absence from social media. On her Instagram account, where she often provides updates on her most recent glamorous outings and her life as a busy mother of three, the former fashion model has been unusually silent recently.
But Christine reappeared on Friday night (January 27), when she posted a video in which she showed a peek of her get-together with her longtime friend Chelcee Grimes. After meeting each other on the ITV programme The Games in 2017, Christine and Chelcee, a singer and a footballer, quickly became great friends. However, it seems that it has been quite some time since the two of them last got together for a catch-up.
She revealed in a video that she posted on her Instagram Story that she was back at her house in Cheshire. As she gazed directly into the camera, the mother of three could be seen sporting a warm grey sweater and wearing a grey headband to pull her hair away from her face.
Alongside the video, which also showed the family’s black-and-white cat, she added, “Sorry I’ve been lost in my brain for a minute…” She continued with, “But I’m Back… Again!”
