There is a significant amount of misrepresentation of facts and images in support of a variety of different political causes. One example of this kind of situation is a picture that is going around on social media in Pakistan right now showing a young woman who has been severely battered.

You can see a picture on social media, where a young woman is shown exposing her back while bearing the scars of insanity-inducing torture.

 

The supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which is Pakistan’s largest political party, have been spreading this picture and saying that it depicts torture that occurred while the suspect was in police custody after the 9th of May incident.

However, after conducting a study on this viral photo, we discovered that it is phony and that it has no connection to the political climate at the present time.

The Truth Behind This Heartbreaking Image of Wounded Women

During the month of March 2021, Syed Shah Raza Shah was the very first person to publish it on a social media platform, specifically on Twitter. On his Twitter account, he not only shared the picture but also referenced the KPK police.

Shah Raza told the police that this is a picture of a girl named Wafa Khan who is a dancing girl. Shah Raza’s statement was made in the presence of the police. He mentioned that a local thug by the name of Mansoor Khan had invited this girl to his residence for a dance and then severely battered her after the dance was over.

Mr. Shah Raza requested that a First Information Report (FIR) be filed against the perpetrators of the crime.

The Capital City Police Peshawar also responded to that tweet and mentioned that a FIR has been issued and that a few suspected persons involved in this barbaric conduct have been apprehended as well.

People have been spreading a picture of a girl who has been severely beaten, and many of them have blamed the police for torturing this woman while she was in police custody as a result of the 9th May incident. However, the true story behind the picture is as follows.
